The use of creative lighting (reds vs. blues; greens vs. yellows, etc.) creates highly saturated colors that belong to the direct light spectrum (RGB). When these images are developed on photographic paper (RA-4 Chemical Process), natural physical challenges of printing technology occur:
Gamut Limitation: The paper cannot reproduce the "neon" luminosity of the monitor, which can cause a "flat" or textureless color effect in the most saturated areas.
Color Crossover: In images with opposing lights (e.g., blue vs. red), the paper's chemistry can generate grayish or "dirty" transitions on the skin, where the colors intersect.
Capture Consequence: It is important to emphasize that this effect is not a printing error, but a physical consequence of the interaction between digital capture/editing and the paper's chemical emulsion.
