The professional album is the materialization of the excellence of your photographic work. The DreambooksPro software was designed to optimize your workflow, offering precise and intuitive tools that ensure a high-quality result, from cover configuration to final layout.
Follow this technical guide to configure and order your project:
1. How to start a new project?
Access: Open the DreambooksPro application and select the “Albums” category.
Identification: Assign a name to the project.
👉 Suggestion: Use the couple's name or the event name to facilitate future organization and search.
Configuration: Define the base characteristics:
Collection (e.g., White, LuxLinen, Tuscany, etc.)
Paper type
Album size
2. How to configure the album cover? In the cover editing area, define the model, color, and cover material. At this stage, you can also add accessories like the album dustbag.
Cover Customization Options:
No customization: Select the option “I do not want the described customization”.
DreambooksPro Templates: Use our editable layouts to insert names and dates directly in the software.
Custom Design: For total creative freedom (Photoshop/Illustrator), upload the file in EPS, PDF, or PSD formats.
Technical Tip: Always work in sRGB at 300 DPI and respect the cover template guides to ensure the correct positioning of the customization element.
3. What is the Flyleaf (Vellum Paper)? If the album model includes a Flyleaf, we have three options for its customization:
Edit the text directly in the software.
Apply one of our available templates.
Upload your own design for an exclusive finish.
4. How to do the album layout? Prerequisite: Ensure that photos are edited, in sRGB color space, and at 300 DPI.
There are two possible workflows:
Option 1 — Import layout: If you use external software (e.g., SmartAlbums, Fundy), simply upload the pre-edited spreads (.jpg files) in alphanumeric order.
Option 2 — DreambooksPro Editor: Select “New” to layout from scratch with our tools.
Workspace: Drag images from the side tab onto the pages.
Safety Margin (Bleed): Pay attention to the red line around the page.
⚠️ Warning: Avoid placing faces, logos, or essential elements in this limit area to prevent unwanted cuts.
5. What editing tools are available? The DreambooksPro editor offers complete design functionalities:
Organization: Sort, rotate, or delete images, add sheets, and move them.
Design: Apply backgrounds, cliparts, or convert image to full background.
Text: Insert and format text boxes.
Adjustments: Control opacity, shadows, and borders.
Quality Control: The software has a resolution indicator that alerts if the image does not have sufficient quality for print.
6. How to finalize and order?
Save: Save the project regularly to safeguard the creative process.
Finalize: After review, click the “Finalize” button.
Add-ons and Shipping: At this stage, you can add products (such as Replica Albums or Boxes). If you only want the album, simply click the option stating you do not want any of the products when they are presented. After finishing and confirming all configurations, you can proceed directly to the cart, where the estimated shipping date and available shipping services will be presented.
