Yes. To ensure the correct adherence of the foil to the block and guarantee a final finish of excellence, there are materials whose texture or porosity hinder the fixation of Gilding. For this reason, we block certain combinations that do not meet our quality standards.
Incompatible Materials: Currently, the application of Gilding is not available in the following configurations:
Paper Type: Blocks in Press Paper (True White).
Endpapers: Albums with Velvet or Buckram endpapers.
