Acrylic is a material of undeniable beauty and extremely high transparency, but it requires specific care to avoid micro-scratches and keep its crystalline shine intact over time.
To guide your final clients, we recommend the following conservation practices:
Daily Cleaning (Dust and Fingerprints): Exclusively use a soft, dry microfiber cloth (similar to the ones used for cleaning glasses or computer screens). Make gentle, circular movements to remove dust and fingerprints without applying too much pressure.
Tougher Stains: If necessary, you can slightly dampen the microfiber cloth with water only. Dry immediately with the dry part of the cloth to avoid leaving marks.
What NOT to do (Very Important): Never use paper towels, napkins, cotton towels, or chemical cleaning products (such as glass cleaners, alcohol, acetone, bleach, or solvents). These materials are highly abrasive and will create irreversible scratches or permanently dull the acrylic's surface.
Storage: We advise that the album is always kept in its box or protective bag when not being viewed, avoiding friction with other surfaces, dust, or sharp objects.
